60 Balconies Atocha is located between two emblematic districts of Madrid, Lavapies and the Barrio de las Letras.

Lavapiés is a must in the leisure guides. In this bustling district you will find the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia, where in addition to enjoying its temporary and permanent exhibitions you will find La Central, an impressive bookstore with more than 65,000 titles designed by Jean Nouvel.

La Casa Encendida and La Tabacalera attract a public eager to discover young creators and enjoy the most avant-garde artistic expressions. In this colorful district dozens of different nationalities mix, this combination results in a lively district where celebrations are held from Hanukkah to the Chinese New Year.

On the other side of Calle Atocha we find the bohemian Barrio de las Letras. Its streets have seen the most prominent writers of the Spanish Golden Age, such as Miguel de Cervantes or Lope de Vega.
